On May 18, 2023, specialists from the Prevention Department of the Almaty Regional AIDS Center held an Open Day at the Talgar Regional Central Hospital on the occasion of the World Day of Remembrance for Victims of AIDS.
Epidemiologist Aigerim Sultanova explained to the patients the meaning of the day. Provided medical advice on HIV transmission and prevention, disseminated information and educational materials.
Galiya Aubakirova, a nurse at the Talgar district trust point, conducted a free rapid HIV test for those who wished. As a result, 50 people found out their HIV status.
